Good things still happen on TV.

hmm wonder why this is a topic...

Here's some proof that TV can do some good. I'll post the link so you can see where i got it.

The Biggest loser TV show has inspired hundreds of people in the US and even other countries to start losing weight, to start evaluating their lives and start counting calories and get healthy. Here is a 6 year old boy who watches the show and learned that exact same lesson. He dropped 30 pounds through diet and exercise (like it should be done) here are his pics. On the website there is a place to leave comments should you feel like congratulating him.

They really should get him on the show just for inspiration.

While I truly think it is fantastic that this little boy lost 30 lbs, the question still remains "how did he get that way in the first place"?

I can pretty much guarantee it was not enough exercise because he was in front of the tv eating junk.

I know this because I was a fat kid who sat in front of the tv watching Inspector Gadget while eating Tyson chicken nuggets and Pepperidge Farms french bread pizzas.

You have a point. We do not know how he got fat. The problem is we aren't given that information anything beyond that would be pure speculation. I ask the court to strike the record of the previous statement. This client copuld have gotten in his condition by eating way too much Mc donalds, sitting and reading books all day, playing video games, or baking cookies with his grandma.

We do know the boy is of some smarts because he saw something realized it was a problem and did something about it. Had he truly been a TV couch potato he's still be watching the show (very entertained) and eating big macs like they were M&Ms.

I definitely think they should have this kid on the show for inspiration to others, because if a child can watch the show and know something needs to be changed without anyone forcing him to lose weight than adults who watch the show and do not take action (who should know better) should be ashamed. Maybe if watching the show won't motivate them, maybe a young kid who took action can. But it is an awesome story.
